The challenge
Uralla Shire Council required a thorough assessment of their waste facility operations and recommendations for operational improvements. This would include kerbside waste collection and landfill operations.
Our solution
Proterra Group was appointed to undertake the assessment and recommendations. The project involved the completion of a Green Waste Investigation Report, a Kerbside Investigation Report and a Site Development Plan for both the Bundarra and Uralla Landfill sites.
The benefit
The assessments and individual reports allowed for an in-depth analysis of all the individual sites and functions. Council has been able to address the findings, take action on the recommendations, and ensure the waste department was running as efficiently as possible. More residents will benefit from the improved waste services.
The result
Uralla Shire Council received recommendations for the improvement of the operations of their landfill. These recommendations would serve to reduce operating costs while maintaining service levels and employment. Further recommendations were made to expand the kerbside collection service to include a broader area and more residents.
