The challenge
Toowoomba Regional Council had a quarry rehabilitation cost model developed previously by an external consultancy that had been used for several years without a way to easily update rates.
Proterra Group were engaged to review and update the unit rates within the model and propose a new method for the model for ease of future use.
Our solution
Proterra Group reviewed and updated the rates and developed a new Microsoft Excel model for quarry rehabilitation cost estimating to be used by the client.
The benefit
The new model will now allow Toowoomba Regional Council to easily update the rates for the 100+ quarries and allow more accurate cost reporting.
The result
Council can now use the model for this and future years' audits by the Queensland Audit Office for their quarry rehabilitation reporting requirements.
