The challenge
The Scenic Rim Council needed to decommission eleven previously closed quarries and remove them from the Environmental Authority.
Our solution
Proterra Group came on board to draft an updated version of the Quarry Management Plan for all existing quarries. This work included rehabilitation plans and environmental impact assessments to assist in obtaining Landholder agreements for the eleven quarries.
The benefit
The completed rehabilitation plans, environmental impact assessments and landholder agreements will allow the Scenic Rim Council to decommission the relevant quarries and remove them from their Environmental Authority.
The result
