The challenge
After being a late addition to the Queensland Government's Waste Levy, Goondiwindi Regional Council needed to make urgent upgrades to several of its waste facilities.
Our solution
Proterra Group delivered a fast and efficient solution, which included designing upgrades to facilities in Goondiwindi, Inglewood, Yelarbon, Talwood, Texas, Bungunya & Toobeah.
These upgrades included the installation of weighbridges, the transition from landfills to waste transfer stations, and a range of necessary improvements as required by the State Government�s Waste Levy.
The benefit
The upgrades ensured Goondiwindi Regional Council operated in accordance with the relevant legislation. The focus of this legislation was primarily on measuring waste generated by its residents and ensuring sustainable future practices.
The result
Proterra Group delivered a variety of upgrades to bring the facilities up to the State Government�s required standards. A weighbridge, several security cameras and a waste transfer station were installed at Inglewood. The other locations had bins, sheds, security cameras and new roads installed.
