The challenge
Council's Park and Recreations team required additional resources to deliver and manage the construction contract for the Carla Crescent Park Upgrade project, to allow the continuation of their 2022/2023 capital delivery program.
Our solution
Proterra Group was able to assist Council by providing a resource for both project management and superintendent roles within the project. Services included existing Council specific knowledge and experience, site/ compliance inspections, civil engineering support, project management and contract management.
The benefit
Additional resources provided by Proterra Group allowed Council to free up internal resources to deliver other capital projects while we managed Carla Crescent Park.
The result
As a result, Council now has a new functional park space within the Westbrook area that provides an accessible space for families to enjoy. The Carla Crescent Park Upgrade Project offers up a play space that all ages can enjoy, with an embankment slide, timber and sandstone steppers, dual swing set, a hidden Dino dig, netball rings, shelter, seating and drinking fountain. A park is now set up for a family get together to the next outdoor birthday party.
