The challenge
There are several steel water reservoirs within the Moree Plains Shire Council that required refurbishment. They contained defects in the protective coating, roofing, structural members and access hatches. Moree Plains has initiated a program to refurbish all their reservoirs beginning with the Adelaide St Reservoir in Moree. The project needed to be completed within a short timeframe during winter to ensure minimum disruption to the water supply scheme.
Our solution
Proterra Group provided project management and contract administration services to Moree Plains Shire Council to deliver the project on time and on budget.
The benefit
The reservoirs were successfully refurbished with very few contract variations and no disputes. The project was delivered on time and within budget, causing minimal disruption to the water supply.
The result
Moree Plains Shire Council now has a fully functional and refurbished steel water reservoir enhanced with minimal disruption to the water supply.
